Theo's Task (Demo)
A downloadable game
This is a game I started working on during the summer of 2024. It uses the tutorial music and sound effects from NESmaker 4.1.5, and it might have a few bugs in it as well. So I consider this very much a beta version of the game. The box art is something I threw together in a couple of minutes as a place holder.

Managed to crash the game on the first dialog box. Looks very similar to a bug I found in Zed and Zee from last year, which I believe is another NESmaker game. Link to the MESEN movie file in the description
Oh. That one. I thought I had fixed it. Thanks. I'll make a note of it. Hopefully I can fix it soon.

Thanks. That was great. Yes. It was actually intended to be that way. That's why I made the world very open and made it so you can jump on explosions. I watch a lot of speedruns of Symphony of the Night, so I was very inspired by that.
Just played through Theo's Task. Great game Bård. The bubble was fantastic. That is a very cool. I did notice a couple times I seemed to get stuck while in the bubble for a second, but it was very minor. I didn't want the game to end. It was very fun.
Oh wow. Thanks. I'm very happy to hear that. Yes, the stuck thing with the bubble is a little annoying. I need to modify the tile collision routines. It's kind of tricky to get it right. I still have some work left to do before the game is done.
